This is my 1951 Dodge 1-ton express (B-3-D 126), partially disassembled during summer 2007. I bought this truck in Missouri in 2003. Did a road trip to Hannibal, MO from Rochester, NY to get it. It was equipped with the original motor, 3-speed on the column, 9-foot box, and custom cab. The rear wheels are offset for dually configuration, but it was a non-dually pickup as indicated by the unwidened fenders and lack of running board extensions. Much needs to be done on this old-timer, but most of the needed parts are sitting in my basement waiting for installation. I'm hoping to have the frame sandblasted and either painted or powder-coated during summer 2008. Same for the wheels with that cool Dodge Creme color. Fortunately I have an original color sample from both a B-3 series and B-4 series Dodge Trucks Facts Booklet. As part of the restoration, the truck is also going to get a 1951-53 4-speed transmission as its only non-factory-stock option along with a color change to Dodge Truck Dark Green. The pic shows its original Dodge Truck Gray paint along with rusty brown.
